in response to My daughter'sdad...   You are so pathetic! Anger management skills? I don't get angry at anything, takes too much energy to be angry at a low-life! Beside the fact, you are not worth it! Social skills? I have more social skills in my pinky than you have in your entire little body, my dear! As far as eating Frito's on the couch, food is not allowed in my living room! That is what the dining room is for! Only slobs eat food in a living room and I absolutely HATE Frito's or any other corn chip or potatoe chip! Living rooms are for entertaining! Not watching television! If I want to watch TV I go into my den for that! And as far as my working from home, I work for a legal firm. So try coming up with something better than that! I am still waiting to see any assemblance of my battling with someone who has any wits about them. So far you have shown very little to no evidence that you have any intelligence whatsoever! Why am I on this site? I would ask you the same question. Why do you come to this site berating everyone for their beliefs? Are your beliefs so perfect that you can find fault with others? I'm sorry to be the one to inform you of this, but you are far from perfect. So please for everyone concerned, it would behoove you to not try to act as though you are!

Philippians 2

2 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

in response to 12155...   LOL! Sounds like someone needs some anger management skills...or, possibly some social skills! LOL! Working at home, eh? Eating Fritos on the couch, watching soap-operas,and walking to the mailbox one time at the end of the month (to get your welfare check) doesnt qualify as being a real job. Sorry! And, its ok...I am not gonna try to bash you...Cause, you are doing a pretty good job yourself of showing your "wit"...or, lack there of. Why are you on this sight, anyways? You need a handout? Something for free, that your "work-from-home" job couldnt afford you? Hey, you need a Handout, friend? LOL! I will give you something for free! cause, thats what you need...some FREE advice. Get up off the couch...drink a glass of slim-fast... get on the treadmill or take a nice brisk walk around the neighborhood... then, go apply at McDonalds. "May I take your order"? Then, if you are then at least trying to do something for yourself and you still fall short, I will be glad to help you/the less fortunate along. Have a great day...

It seems you are asking for $ but getting that is not easy as everyone here will tell you that we all need it too. If you are trying to leave where you are at than I need to ask do you want to immigrant to another country or just move to a different city? You can check with different international mission programs. You don't say how old you are of if you have any medical problems so it really limits what I can refer you too. But will list some links to check out and some will help with immigration also.

in response to My daughter'sdad...   I don't generally make it a rule to have a battle of wits with an unarmed individual, but for you, I'll make an exception!!

I first would like to know what gives you the impression that I don't work....Have you ever heard of people working at home, having their own business! I worked for others for 33 years! I am old enough to be your mother and for you to treat another human being with such disrespect, if you were under my employ, you would be finding yourself another job very fast!!!

Secondly, before you accuse someone of "complaining" about the economy or the Mexican taking any jobs, get your facts straight! I never once complained about the economy because quite frankly those who do complain about it are the very individuals who are on welfare and sitting on their butts and not doing anything! I am not one of those people! Mexican taking our jobs? For your information and that it is any of your business though you seem to make it that way, ANYONE who comes to the US from another country has ever right in the world to obtain viable employment in the US! So before you make your accusations, you better get your facts straight!!

I am from Russia. Please, help to raise money to leave the dying polar city. Arrived here on service to army, remained on the contract, the daughter married, born... From the beginning of military reform it appeared unnecessary, dismissed... Earnings in the city - suffice only just to make ends meet, on a rent the duty already grows... prospects - any. Very much it would be desirable to leave "on the continent" though to the village, but there is no place to go, having sold the apartment here - even on a shed in a midland won't suffice. Please, help any money, ... Yandex-money:410011340197515. Store you God, thanks already that read up up to the end.

in response to 12155...   It would be different if you were trying to do something to support yourself...then, if you need a help-up....a little assistance because you came up short, that would be understandable. But, I dont understand how someone could not do ANYTHING but take take take without giving efforts. Dont complain about the economy, or the Mexicans taking our jobs...the only one to blame is yourself. Hold some accountability for your shortcomings. I got a better idea... Can you say "Would you like fries with your burger"? At least you would be making an effort. Me, "sad little man"? Well, I am 5'9 and confident in who I am and absolutely adore my family...and, they like me alot too. In fact, I must go now so I can make my family some breakfast before I go to work. Enjoy your slim-fast (your breakfast) and have a great day!

in response to 12155...   I not only support my family...but, I support you as well through tax paying. In fact, many of us working taxpayers here on this site pay for you to sit at home and talk nonsense on the computer giving credit to an illusionary super-hero (God) while we are the ones working so you can do nothing! You should be thanking me for working so you can have this time to read this message on your computer which I helped pay for.

in response to 12155...   REALLY! I wonder if the Prayer was also done while you were given medications or treatment. Probably so! And, thats what saved your lazy, no-working excuse-making self! Not wishing upon a star! LOL!

in response to My daughter'sdad...   I have a good night every night followed by very good, satisfying productive days! As I said before you are a sad little man who lives an extremely lonely, sad existence! I will continue to pray for you and pray for your poor wife and children, if in fact, you actually have a wife and children, because quiet frankly anyone who is as negative as you seem to appear, I don't know too many women unless they are completely and totally submissive would spend five minutes around you! Have a wonderful weekend and, I know this may be a stretch for you, but try really hard to be positive!

in response to My daughter'sdad...   You are so right about people asking for handouts, and the people who help doing it for "show" or in an attempt to get praise. I'm terribly bad for saying" She/He is getting older and trying to get into heaven. When you work for what u get you do appreciative it,and when people aren't made to work for what they get then they start expecting it. I'm finding it so funny to hear the same people who say"I don't want "big brother" in my business, or the government is trying to take over, are the same people who rely on the government to keep them up. If you don't want the government in your business then keeping out of line for every free thing that comes along from the government is a good way to start. I find it very upsetting that if you refusing to help yourself then the government will keep you up, if you do the best you can and are't completely dependant on someone else then your not going to get a "hand UP" if you happen to need it, but a "hand OUT" IS ALWAYS THERE. I pay taxes on income every single year, and have since I was 18, yet others can receive help from what I'v paid in, everyone but me that is. To work use to be something you had to do to survive, I pity them that have always managed a way around work when our government goes bankruptcy. Your ethics are commendable. I'll not argue religion with you, with the exception of people using it for the wrong reasons as you mentioned. I feel to treat others the. Way you want to be treated is important, but not for reasons other than because, as you's the right thing to do. I watch how I treat people....I don't want to get sued. LOL. I so enjoy reading your respective on so many things. Kudos to you...

in response to My daughter'sdad...   Excuse me but you are totally wrong. In 1987 I was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer, I was given 3 to 6 months to live! My father and mother both sat at my bedside and they read the bible and my dad prayed every single day that God would let me stay. For 25 years I have been cancer free. So do not spout your atheist beliefs to me because it is falling on deaf ears!!!

The belief in prayer is a superstition. It has been proven scientifically over and over again. When a prayer appears to be answered, it is a coincidence. Quite simply, prayer has absolutely no effect on the outcome of any event. The "power of prayer" is actually "the power of coincidence."

Therefore, one of two things must be happening:

God is imaginary.
God does exist, but he never answers prayers. Unfortunately, God is defined by the Bible to be a prayer-answering being. The contradiction between the reality of God and the definition of God proves that God is imaginary.
Prayer does not work because God is completely imaginary.
Talk to Anonymous
in response to 12155...   Sorry, there is NO scientific evidence that Prayer or Praying has any effect on any outcomes in the world.
The fact is, God never answers any prayers. The entire idea that "God answers prayers" is an illusion created by human imagination.

How do we know that "answered prayers" are illusions? We simply perform scientific experiments. We ask a group of believers to pray for something and then we watch what happens. What we find, whenever we test the efficacy of prayer scientifically, is that prayer has zero effect:

It does not matter who prays.
It does not matter if we pray to God, Allah, Vishnu, Zeus, Ra or any other human god.
It does not matter what we pray about.
If we perform scientific, double-blind tests on prayer, and if the prayers involve something concrete and measurable (for example, healing people with cancer), we know that there is zero effect from prayer. Every single "answered prayer" is nothing more than a coincidence. Both scientific experiments and your everyday observations of the world show this to be the case every single time
