My family and I would be truly thankful to help someone out in the Cleveland, Ohio area this Christmas. We have been there before, and we know what a challenge this time of year can be for families struggling to make ends meet. We all can use a little help now and again….no shame in that. If there is someone in our area that can use a little help, we would be honored to provide what we can.
Just know there are people out there who care. From someone who has been there….it does get better. If we can help in our small part, just drop us a line at email@example.com. Happy Holidays from our family to yours.
there is anyone that can donaye a few new or used toys let me no.
I thank you all for reading I pray for us all. Xoxo
You always were the wise voice of reason here. And,you have such a lovely way of putting words.
People like to pull others heart strings, even make them feel guilty. Many have even called other people 'stingy & selfish' if people did not give them what they wanted.
Yet, so many asking for stuff, the stories goes like this: "give us things for 'MY family', 'MY kids', 'My needs','MY table', 'my','my','my'.
I often wondered how can these same people call others 'selfish',when they are suffering from the 'MY' syndrome. Isn't that the definition of selfishness?
Some people get mad because I don't sugar coat things. Well, so be it.
Its written the 'truth' shall set us free. 'Lies' don't set us free.
People have lied to their kids.
THERE IS NO SANTA CLAUS !!!
Why people don't just tell the truth baffles me.
It would probably alot less stressful for them.
There are so many things people can do to have a wonderful Christmas that does not include spending insane amounts of monies.
Things like we used to do like: taking a walk with the kids collecting pine cones, then painting them as a family. These make great ornaments as well as great memories. There are so many things one can do.
Oh well, enough on that.
How are you doing?
I hope things are going great for you.

in response to Anonymous40784... Hello girl,
Just wanted to say hello to you and let you know that I respect your perspective on this page. You have been a contributor for a long time and many coming here for a quick fix do not know that. Although many just want an instantaneous solution to their problems..right now its Christmas gifts...sometimes they dont realize that its their perspective they can change, regardless of if their cirumstances change. Sometimes that is all you can do is not let your problems break you and to refocus. Its hard to hear, its harder to apply. I have had to tell kids there will be no traditional CHristmas because there is no money. I did make gifts and found free events to take them to and we celebrated regardless of the fact that we had no new toys or things. It was hard for them to accept but parents control what your kids watch and value, while their little you have complete control what you teach them especially in this day and age. We cant talk about GOD in schools anymore but we can write a letter to imaginary SANTA CLAUS telliing him what we want for Christmas as if he really exists and thus deepening our childrens misery when no one shows up with toys and gifts. It just makes everything worse. Its a difficult thing to tell kids there will be no gifts, its hurtful and you feel devastated but the alternative is that they think SANTA didnt come because they did something bad. That is what we are teaching children that Christmas is all about. In closing, we are all entitled to what we write here, but others shouldnt assume that because you are giving sound advice that you are being rude. I think its refreshing to know there are at least a few others out there that think the same way that I do.
Be blessed and have a great day!
