Oh that is a shame about your brother and your daughter..I am afraid that others will end up like you too. Wish you were closer..Send me private message ok when you have the time.I am so sorry, darn it..
Everyone is going through hard times it seems
Oops just read some back posts. Beleive me when I say there is no help for us here in this area. We either need to be adopted or have a major miracle. My brother has now disowned us because he says we are such troublemakers and his health can't stand it. My daughter has just come off of a suicide watch and they could offer no help or suggestions at the center where they kept her. So you guys are just going to have to take my word for it and pray that others do not end up like us.
That is not necessarily true about her not being able to get assistance. There is a program called the Safety Net Assistance Program.
Here is some of the information on it:
Applicants/recipients of Safety Net Temporary Assistance must meet all applicable eligibility requirements governing Temporary Assistance programs. Household income, resources, living arrangements, monthly expenses, employability and alien status are some of the more important factors which are considered in establishing both initial and ongoing eligibility for assistance. The following needy individuals and families may qualify for SNA:
- single adults
- childless couples
- children living apart from any adult relative
- families of persons abusing drugs or alcohol
- families of persons refusing drug/alcohol screening, assessment or treatment
- persons who have exceeded the 60-month time limit on Family Assistance
- aliens who are eligible for Temporary Assistance but who are not entitled to federal reimbursement
Eligible households can generally receive SNA on a cash basis for a maximum of 24 months in a lifetime. If eligibility continues beyond the 2-year limit, SNA may be provided in non-cash form, such as a two-party check or a voucher. In addition, non-cash SNA is also provided to families of persons either abusing drugs or alcohol or refusing drug/alcohol screening, assessment or treatment.
Application for benefits under the SNA program must be filed in person at the DSS Service Center serving the household's municipality.
Who are you addressing this too? ibotter? if so her daughter turned 18 and she can't get cash assistance..In a one to one she said Lee County Florida
Everyone has been trying to help her for since july 14th my first one to one and she wanted to get to her brothers in Louisville kentucky but no bus fare... ibotter is not working I hope and I mean it you can help as it seems like we have given her every suggestion under the sun. It stinks what people are going through as you know from reading the stories here..
Hi ibotter - Are you working right now? Can you qualify for any of the resources that Florida has like emergency cash assistance?
Do you have a car now? Where abouts are you in Florida?
The reasons I ask these questions, I have been following your posts, but the only thing I got is that you were going to be homeless. And if that is the case, you should be able to qualify for emergency needs right away. There is no waiting period.
Let me know, and I might be able to help.
WHAT IS THE LINK THERE FOR U?? i AM THERE TOO.
The latter I don't think it is for your state but you can look and call to see if they know of something
I hate to beg or solicit but my daughter and I really have no place to live much longer and are in need of a car or repairs. Please vote for us at freecharitycars.org provided by dear Schimdty or if you are really in need, apply too. We are about at the end of the rope, friends, and would sure appreciate it. Thank you!
I alway's have a hard time!!! God is allowing these thing's to make us stronger. I used to have strong faith to believe for ANYTHING. Trial's of life and cruelty and meanness of family-the church-those who are supposed to be our brothers and sisters in Jesus, when you get low, when you sin and fall-those church folks dont even want to know you. God does do miracle's. I have had nothing and he picked me up and was the good samaritan because no one else would. The one thing we can do is stand for each other. Flex our faith wings and ask God what can I do? He love's us and will find an answer. Those of us on here-I don't think too many live high on the hog-we will have an easier time when it all falls apart-because we are survivors. We will have a heart for each other. In his word-it tell's us God has a heart for the poor. He will make an end to those oppressing the poor one day. In the mean time WE can do such much by really praying from the heart and when we have the opportunty to give even a bowl of soup in Jesus name we need to take the opportunity. God will remember that couple dollars or soup and bread.
Hey Folk's-I just got the new's that my hot water heater has died. None of us have the money to replace it. I know you all have strong faith. Please agree with me that a miracle is coming quick. There are many of us and that enclude's a 14 and 2 year old. I know Jesus has a miracle. Will you stand with me? One miracle is that while I was sleeping last night-Jesus touched me. I dont feel as stressed or sick as I had before. I am expecting to relearn faith in God to fix it and provide a way or to have peace while he is fixing it. We need down to earth believers who know how to pray. Lord grant that I can help someones faith.
I totally agree.
While I will continue to give something to the synagogues & church, alot of the charities including some churches, etc will not be getting my funds.
I have always been a giver. I used to give to charities, ministries, etc to help people (so I thought thats where the monies were going). When my family hit hard times & my father was terminally ill (before he passed); I asked the places that we had so freely given too for a little help. I did not receive a penny.
I now just prefer to give directly to the individual. I do believe in giving tithing or offering. Besides, I did not see anywhere in the word of G-d to give to charities. It does tell us to give to the house of the L-rd. It does tells us to help the poor. So, we can give it directly to them.
CEO's of some of the charities get a salary of a half million dollars. If they can pay workers that then they certainly do not need my little pennies!
Have a great night.
Train cars wife again. I have tried every thing from thr NACA, HEMP, Safeharbor and numerous others from government to non government and yes schmidty we appreciate greatly your info but nothing has turned up and you are right when people are desparate and in despare they will try about anything. Thats when I started messing with the computer and ran across that website beg to a millionaire and thought what the hell id give it a try. Since then I got educated. IWe get emails all the time now saying if you buy this or that you can make anywhere from 2000 to 25000 in a day and you know that there scams.Traincar was teaching me computer off and on when he could so this has been crash course and Iam learning that you cant always beleive the websites that advertise ither. There are so many scams its frightening. I even sent an email to the white house which refered me to Hud which was a joke because they put you on a waiting list and it takes 1 to 2 years for them to help and again you have to qualify and they said since traincar is a senior and disabled he qualifies for senior living such as the nursing home and insead of medicare he would get medicaid. Im sorry but I do not agree with this. He is a person, a human being and not a number to be discarded at a whim or when the going gets rough. I will keep him and his dogs with me for as long as he is living. I have been looking for a generator and an inverter to run his equipment with. If we dont find a place we can camp by the river until. weather changes. We live in Oregon and the winters can be nasty. Â
