What kind of help are you looking for. Do you want to go back to school? Just in general?

There are plenty of people on here if you just want to talk  and about your two other postings, I agree with both.

Hi Doug

I to have done commission work and don't care for it.. As for work check out womenforhire.com for work from home jobs. Homejobstop.com - you pay one time fee and a lady here post jobs all the time here. And look for jobs google.com free classifieds and find one pays you by the hour. I know it is hard as I applied for a job only to learn when the man called commision only.

And check looking for help (St.Vincent de Paul's) see if they can help with the bill. they have a search section to see if they are in your area.

If you are making money apply at

http://www.modestneeds.org/

for help with electric bill, usually they help with rent one time and car repairs one time...I know of people who got help with them.

And feel free to  check my blog here for more information

I need help.  I have come to a point where I can't seem to get myself out of a hole I dug, no matter how hard I try.  I work at a job that pays commission, and with the economy the way it is, I haven't had the money coming in that I was used to.  I burned through my savings trying to keep up, but everything just started to collapse around me.  Right now, I am $400 behind on my electric bill.  That bill seemed to take the back burner to all the others.  I don't want anyone to think I have frivelous bills, such as Cable TV or Satellite.  I don't spend my money on things like ciggarettes or alcohol. I just need a little help to get myself out of this hole so I can get rid of this chest compressing feeling of hoplessness.

Thanks.

Doug

in response to MagnoliaBlossom...   I remember all of that and more. Nifty notebooks, cheap clothes not designer clothes, malts at the counter, juke boxes and the penny candy. Seeing a movie for 25 cents and if you didn't catch the movie then you were out of luck. Going to baseball games, football games, Barbie dolls, Sonny and Cher, pop art clothes and material that I had a pair of black and white bell bottoms that actually to look at made you dizzy..Those were fun times and the bathing suits were something else.

just wanted to say hello to all.a few words of wisdom.fantasy is we would love to get help.reality is we won,t.i like this sight because we can talk to others about our problems.right now{sad but true} you guys are the best thing i have right now.i might not get help.but i am blessed to find people i can talk to that don,t judge.we all live in our own hell.the things we go through is just as bad as the next persons.no matter the pain it hurts the same.i read something about asking people to pray.i pray that some day we all are able to live the life we need.someone mentioned having money in the bank just a little. i overdrafted 89 dollars.i also seen something about sending even 5 dallors to someone which is a good idea.there are millions of people in the world even if they sent 1 dollar.we would be ok.i am hopeing one day to start a foundation. The dollar foundation where all we do is ask for 1 dollar from people.anyway.i am tired.hope all is well.remember to always hold your head up high.cry when you need to and take care of you.

Pharmak

I am unemployed. I have computer programming background from a career that spans over 10 years. I have always liked science and technology. After the IT industry flattened I tried real estate around the time the real estate market had peaked and started declining.

If you read my blog, http://pharmak.aidpage.com/, it will tell what I think happened to the IT industry. Today I posted more blogs. The blogs reflect topics we cover in the biomedical engineering program and related material.

Biology is one of my favorite subjects.  But biology today is completely different from the biology of the 20th century. There are hardly an dissections in the laboratory today. The hot topics are DNA, molecular biology, cell biology, ecology. A biomedical engineer is interested in both biological, medical and engineering dimensions.

The concepts of cycles, processes, signals in biology are similar to the concepts of the same nature in Data Processing. The DNA transcription, translation, RNA types are mirrored in Information Technology and computer programming. The switch to Biomedical Engineering is very comfortable. This anticipates the growth of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology computation requirements. I am writing Perl programs to process nucleotide code sequences and translate them into polypeptides. I have further enhancements planned that will link to webpages that have details of chemical structure of the amino acids and related information.

I have a good laptop. I have Internet access. I usually am at Starbucks applying for jobs over the Internet when I am not studying. I know HTML, PHP, MySQL, Microsoft Office, .NET, Javascript, Visual Basic, SQL Server, SAS, COBOL and other software. I can develop web pages, Excel spreadsheets, and tutor in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Mid-terms were in March. I did well. Finals are next week. I'd like to spend more time studying for them, but the financing for school is not quite sufficient to allow me to attend full time. Full time costs about $500 more per term, but I would also need about $2500 so I can afford the rent on a small apartment.

I think a job paying $15+/hr for around 30 hrs/wk would enable me to convert to full time student status and help me graduate sooner.

A part-time, telecommuting, or flexible retail position in NYC, where my school is, would help me a lot.
